Fall Term: 15 Classes in total | Each Class is 3 hours

Figure drawings are essential portfolio pieces for applications to art and design schools. Working from reference or a live figure drawing model, students have the opportunity to draw a range of poses for short, medium, and extended periods of time. Students will also learn to establish the center line, measure and re-adjust for accurate proportions, and apply figure drawing techniques to other media and subject matter.

In this class students will explore different techniques using digital programs such as procreate to develop their personal style in illustration be it for character design, world building, or expressive personal art. In this class students will learn how to bring stories to life through storyboarding and hand-drawn animation techniques. Students will learn foundational skills of animation such as timing & spacing or squash and stretch as well as how to apply design principles to storytelling for TV & Film. From projects such as a bouncing ball animation to a character walk cycle and short story sequence, student will see their ideas come to life while learning valuable techniques to strengthen their skills.

Students will learn how to analyze materials from existing animations and mobile games and understand the basic rules behind compelling motion graphics.
