Weekly Studio Program

Tuesday | 4:00-6:00PM

Wednesday | 4:00-6:00PM

Saturday | 10:00AM-12:00PM

Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting techniques and explore a variety of 2D mediums and tools. You will be introduced to basic painting and drawing techniques and mediums, including coloured pencils, watercolour, acrylic, markers and more. Develop the skills necessary to explore imaginary and observational projects. This class is a perfect intro class for those students interested in advanced painting, illustration and animation.

Please note that there is an additional $10 material fee for this course already add in the course fee.

Contemporary Artist

Marzieh A Fakhr, born in 1981, is an Iranian contemporary artist whose work centers on the provocative and sensual aspects of human nature and the physical body. Marzieh shared her expertise in the field of painting as an instructor for more than 10 years. She worked with students on both a group and individual basis, teaching creative design and painting techniques, including coloured pencil, watercolour, oil painting and acrylic.

BFA, Emily Carr University of Art and Design

Hyunkyung is an animation concept artist and illustrator who was born in Korea. She majored in 2D animation from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Her favorite task is designing characters by directly observing people. She has extensive experience in animation concept art, character design, and digital illustration work, and is always ready to share her experiences with students.

  • Graphite pencil set of 6 or 12 pencils

  • Eraser

  • Mix media sketchbook 11x14in

  • Please allow 1-2 business days for the registration process to be completed.

  • No classes on Statutory Holidays.

  • No make-up class offered for any reason of absenteeism.

Cancellation Policy

In the event that the program does not meet the minimum registration requirement and the class cannot proceed, we reserve the right to cancel the program. In such cases, a full refund will be issued to all registered participants.

For students wishing to withdraw from the class before the program commences, we will issue a refund with a $15 CAD transition fee deducted. The full tuition can also be transferred as credit for future use (within one year from the time being issued).

Once the class has commenced, no refunds will be issued for students opting to withdraw from the program. We appreciate your understanding of these policies.
