Grades 6-7 is an optimal time for them to explore their creative interests and cultivate their initial talent. Green Apple Art Center offers a variety of classes for all levels that help students not only develop their technical skills, but also discover new creative fields.

Weekly Studio Program
Friday | 4:00-6:00PM
Sunday | 10AM-12PM
Learn how to draw and design characters following manga, anime, and graphic novel art styles as well as how to implement them into illustrations and stories following manga, comic, and graphic novel formats. Students will explore aspects that build up characters in various anime art styles such as facial features, physique proportions, moods, and fashions combined with personalities. This class is ideal for those students interested in learning about manga and anime focused art styles whether they are long time or new fans.
Please note that there is an additional $10 material fee for this course already add in the course fee.
Visual Arts High School Programs, such as Load Byng Mini-School or Langley Fine Art, enable students to acquire skills and knowledge for university visual art programs. And GAAC Portfolio Prep programs for Grades 6-7 help you to enter the visual arts specialty programs.
CAMP
Musicworks & GAAC Collaborate Camp: July 15-Aug 9 from 9:00AM-4:00PM
9:00AM-12:00PM: Elevate Your talents with fun music lessons in the morning. Students will master various instruments: Piano, Guitar, Violin, Ukulele, Vocal, and Drums. Experience hands-on learning where students don't just watch but actively play and create music.
1:30PM-4:00PM: The afternoon program takes students on creative spiritual art trails, exploring Vancouver's iconic landmarks while learning the insights into Canadian culture through drawing and painting. Inspired by their adventures, students will have the chance to craft their own unique ukuleles. Armed with newfound skills throughout the weekly program, they'll have the opportunity to culminate their journey by collaboratively crafting a dynamic interactive musical installation—a sensational blend of art, music, and technology that promises to captivate and inspire!

Please note that the students will receive a bag of art supplies for this course, which price is included in the program fee. Lunch, snacks , and transit fee, etc. will not be included.
This program runs weekly, with each week dedicated to different skills and art mediums. The morning indoor class focuses primarily on technique learning, while the afternoon class offers outdoor adventures coupled with indoor design challenges.

Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting techniques and explore a variety of 2D mediums and tools. You will be introduced to basic painting and drawing techniques and mediums, including coloured pencils, watercolour, acrylic, markers and more. Develop the skills necessary to explore imaginary and observational projects. This class is a perfect intro class for those students interested in advanced painting, illustration and animation.
