Learn techniques of illustration to depict the scenes they imagine using pens, markers, watercolours, and gouache. Students will complete their own projects, discovering the theory of colour and studying how to apply it to their illustrations. Trying out fun exercises will help students find inspiration and creativity to produce captivating landscapes and characters. Students will rediscover their imagination, which will lead them to create their own illustrative world. They will learn to use different materials and explore techniques that can be applied when using different media.

Meg Boer is a Storyboard Artist and 2D Animator who graduated with a Bachelor in Animation from Sheridan College, one of the leading institutions in the field. Her work focuses on creating impactful visual storytelling and strong draftsmanship. Meg excels at working with an idea and developing it into a fully realized project within a collaborative setting. She hopes to bring her skills and experience to young artists to help build both their technical skills and creative confidence.

With a strong foundation in drawing and extensive creative experience, she is skilled in a wide array of artistic media. Jinglan is dedicated to guiding students in their exploration of different artistic techniques, fostering a dynamic and playful classroom environment that nurtures their creative potential.
Visual Artist
Rachel Ryu is a visual artist and graphic designer with a BA in Industrial Design from Hanyang Women's University in Korea. She has extensive experience as both an artist and designer across various industries. For over six years, Rachel has been teaching drawing and painting to students aged 5 to 19. She is passionate about fostering creativity, exploring diverse art materials, and teaching both fundamental and advanced techniques. Rachel is dedicated to helping students grow at their own pace through art and is excited to share her knowledge and connect with them.
