Street Booth Experience in Vancouver — Laser Cutting & Printmaking

This summer, Green Apple Art Centre (GAAC) once again joined Vancouver’s lively Khats Street Party! From setting up in the morning to the bustling afternoon crowd, creativity filled every corner of the street. We brought art out of the classroom and onto the street — blending creativity with sunshine, laughter, and music.

🎉 Bringing the Art Experience to the Streets

To help more people experience the joy of art, we specially prepared laser-cut molds for everyone to try hands-on printmaking.

Many passersby stopped by our booth, rolled up their sleeves, and created their own unique prints using ink, plates, and paper. Children were amazed by the patterns that appeared through printing, while parents couldn’t resist joining in on the fun.

In just a few minutes, everyone could experience that magical process of creating — from making a mark to feeling proud. The sense of accomplishment when the print appeared was pure joy — the essence of what art education is all about.

🌟 Art Education Is More Than Just “Drawing”

This street event once again affirmed what we’ve always believed: Art education is not only about technique — it’s about nurturing perception and creativity. The combination of laser cutting and printmaking allowed participants to explore dialogue between different mediums — the precision of metal, the texture of paper, and the freedom of color.

Art is not only visual; it’s a multi-sensory experience.

When a child exclaimed, “I didn’t know I could make something like this!”
And when a parent smiled and said, “This reminds me of my art class when I was a kid,”
we knew — this is what art truly means: connection, inspiration, and discovery in the moment.

🍏 GAAC’s Community Art Activities

As an art education institution rooted in Vancouver for over 20 years, Green Apple Art Centre has always believed that learning art should be open, engaging, and full of exploration. Beyond classroom learning, we regularly organize art fairs, creative workshops, and community art events, bringing art closer to everyday life.

We hope our students not only grow within the classroom but also discover the power of creativity in the world around them — seeing beauty, expression, and possibility everywhere.
