Not every Vancouver art studio can take part in New York Fashion Week — but GAAC can! You've definitely heard of NYFW — one of the “Big Four” fashion weeks globally, it's always been a hub for trends and the spotlight for rising fashion stars. In this issue, we’ll show you how Jenny, a popular high school student, lit up the runway at NYFW — even catching the attention of top influencers who asked if her runway pieces were for sale!
01 – Designer Introduction
This time, we’re featuring the designs of Jenny, one of our standout students. From concept and theme development, to design and creation, to sample selection and final production — GAAC instructors worked closely with Jenny every step of the way over the past six months as she took on the full NYFW design experience.
02 – Runway Presentation
As the spotlight hit and the models took their first steps down the NYFW runway, every stitch and seam on those garments reflected the designer’s inspiration and effort. In that moment, dreams became reality as original designs lit up the global fashion stage. From rough sketches to runway-ready pieces, each look went through rounds of refinement and innovation. Now, under the world’s gaze, these works shine bright — a bold declaration of unique style and fearless attitude. Fashion is more than just clothing — it’s a physical expression of dreams. Next stop: even bigger stages!
03 – Program Overview
With top-tier instruction and top-level exposure, GAAC’s New York Fashion Week project offers students more than just a dream platform — it gives them hands-on experience, portfolio enrichment, and global perspective. Our expert instructors combine international craftsmanship with diverse teaching styles to set students on a promising path. And our world-class industry connections place students directly in the spotlight, offering rare opportunities to learn from professionals and leaders in the field.
As a leading institution, Green Apple Art Center is one of the few schools globally that offers a well-rounded curriculum combining learning and real-world experience. In 2015, GAAC helped students launch Vitruvius — the world’s first new-gen fashion label founded by high school students — and has since guided student designers (aged 15–18) onto the NYFW runway year after year.
04 -Calling for S/S26
The Spring/Summer 2026 NYFW showcase will be held in New York in September 2025. This six-month program offers students an immersive journey through the fashion world, stepping into the shoes of both designer and brand founder.
At GAAC, we believe fashion is the expression of one’s soul — and we’re looking for students ready to shape their visions into something extraordinary.
Founded in 2015, Green Apple Art Center (GAAC) helped launch Vitruvius, the world’s first student-led high school fashion brand, and has since taken students aged 15–18 to NYFW every year. Over time, our [NYFW Program] has evolved into a premier incubator for young designers and a standout achievement for students applying to top universities.
Each year, Vitruvius receives glowing attention from local and international media, while students gain endorsements from leading industry experts. Their collections and NYFW experience have become invaluable assets in university applications and professional portfolios.
The next chapter of fashion begins now — and we can’t wait to see who joins us on the runway.
