Art Summer Camp | GR. 4-7

This program runs weekly, with each week dedicated to different skills and art mediums. The morning indoor class focuses primarily on technique learning, while the afternoon class offers outdoor adventures coupled with indoor design challenges.

Please note that the art materials are included in the program fee. Lunch, snacks , and transit fee, etc. will not be included.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

Week 1: July 2-July 5

AM: Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting techniques and explore a variety of 2D mediums and tools. You will be introduced to basic painting skills and color learning, exploring the technique of painting. Develop the skills necessary to explore imaginary and observational projects.

PM: Art Trails to Vancouver Downtown, Stanley Park, Art Gallery, Lonsdale Market, and etc.

Week 2: July 8-July12

AM: Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting techniques and explore a variety of 2D mediums and tools. You will be introduced to basic pencil drawing skills, learning the shades and hue, exploring the technique of using color pencils and graphite pencils. Develop the skills necessary to explore imaginary and observational projects.

PM: Art Trails to Granville Island, UBC, Queen Elizebeth Garden, Steveston Village, and etc.

Week 3: July 15-July 19

AM: Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting techniques and explore a variety of 2D mediums and tools. You will be introduced to basic figure learning, exploring the technique of figure drawing using charcoal. Develop the skills necessary to explore imaginary and observational projects.

PM: Art Trails to Vancouver Downtown, Stanley Park, Art Gallery, Lonsdale Market, and etc.

Week 4: July 22-July 26

AM: Learn the fundamentals of modelling techniques and explore the 3D mediums and tools. Develop the skills necessary to explore sculpture related projects.

PM: Art Trails to Granville Island, UBC, Queen Elizebeth Garden, Steveston Village, and etc.

Week 5: July 29-August 2

AM: Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting techniques and explore a variety of 2D mediums and tools. You will be introduced to basic pencil drawing skills, learning the shades and hue, exploring the technique of using color pencils and graphite pencils. Develop the skills necessary to explore imaginary and observational projects.

PM: Indoor Ukulele Design; design and paint an own unique Ukulele

Week 6: August 6-August 9

AM: Learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting techniques and explore a variety of 2D mediums and tools. You will be introduced to basic figure learning, exploring the technique of figure drawing using charcoal. Develop the skills necessary to explore imaginary and observational projects.

  • Please allow 1-2 business days for the registration process to be completed.

  • No classes on Statutory holidays.

  • No make-up class offered for any reason of absenteeism.

Cancellation Policy

In the event that the program does not meet the minimum registration requirement and the class cannot proceed, we reserve the right to cancel the program. In such cases, a full refund will be issued to all registered participants.

For students wishing to withdraw from the class before the program commences, we will issue a refund with a $15 CAD transition fee deducted. The full tuition can also be transferred as credit for future use (within one year from the time being issued).

Once the class has commenced, no refunds will be issued for students opting to withdraw from the program. We appreciate your understanding of these policies.
